Compare the geranium on the left, growing in a planter with
pumice wick, and the geranium on the right, growing in the
original, conventional pot.
These geraniums were used as a side by side test to
demonstrate the efficacy of growing plants using a pumice
wick vs. growing in a traditional method. The plants were
purchased from a nursery in identical 4" grower pots. The
geranium on the right was left in the original pot, the
geranium on the left was transplanted to a larger planter,
equipped with a pumice wick. Watering regimes were
identical and both plants were left to grow for a full
growing season before the photograph was taken.
